Professor Nigel Paul, Director of the Centre for Global Eco- Innovation , Lancaster University
Nigel Paul is Director of the Centre for Global eco-Innovation (CGE) at Lancaster University. His research interests in the potential effects of the “hole in the ozone layer” led to his appointment as co-chair of the Environmental Effects Panel of the Montreal Protocol. That role highlighted the important links between “basic science” and innovation, which has become a major focus of Paul’s work in recent years. CGE has used high quality university research to support innovative business, more than 300 to date, to develop new products, services and technologies, part of Lancaster University’s wider commitment to support innovation, especially in SMEs.
